Frequently Asked Questions

TKS Assignments

No, you should not feel obligated to accept any assignment unless it is consistent with your interests and availability.

There is no limit to the number of assignments you can work on through TKS. However, there may be limits on the number of hours you can work in a given fiscal or calendar year for a particular client. Contact the TKS Client Contact Manager if you have questions about a specific situation.

There can be limitations on hours worked in a one-year period for specific clients. For example, depending on the type of assignment, you may be limited to working no more than 1000 hours in a given fiscal or calendar year on assignments. If it appears you may approach 1000 hours of work at a company in a one-year period, you should discuss this fact with the TKS Client Contact Manager as quickly as possible.

There can be restrictions of this type; the regulations vary by company. In general, if you are in your first year of retirement or separation you should alert the TKS Client Contact Manager to this fact if you are discussing a potential assignment at the company or organization from which you retired or separated.
