John started TKS because he observed the huge exodus from the global energy industry of senior staff, management and executives, through retirement and attrition. “Our clients' #1 complaint is that their best people are not going to competitors but simply retiring.” Mission Critical Tribal knowledge is walking out the door.

Bottomline: Most Energy Companies have no solution to the brain drain that is occurring because of the lack of hiring over the last several decades.

In addition, pension and government regulations are restricting their ability to retain this tribal talent. John’s idea is to provide retired and contract petro-technical talent, from individual contributor to executive to serve the needs of their “tribe”. With over 25 years of retained search global energy industry upstream/downstream experience, John has led large-scale global energy hiring projects that have ranged from five to more than 50 technical professionals. In addition, he has significant high level technical contract/temporary personnel management experience (C-level, Executives, Management, and Individual Contributors).

John holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
